World Book Day

Lesson: English

Class: Reception Miss Plunkett Year: 2018 - 2019

We have had a great week getting ready for world Book Day celebration today.  Our class book was entitled, Matilda's Cat. We have been making different types of cat masks, roleplaying the story and working hard in our class pet store. Year one have been writing information books on how to look after a cat and Reception have been writing their own versions of the story, Matilda's Cat. Mr Loftus came and read his favourite story to us and dressed as his favourite character in the book.

Today the children performed an oral re-telling of the story in assembly, and this afternoon we had a tea party just like Matilda did in the story. We even made our own jelly for the tea party! It was delicious! We all had lots of fun.

Have a look at our photos.
