Tree Planting

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Year 3SW Miss Sharrockwoods Year: 2019 - 2020

We had a great afternoon with the Mersey Forest team together with Green Sefton and the park staff who helped us to plant young trees (saplings) in Victoria Park. Did you know the Mersey Forest isn’t one big forest but millions of trees dotted around like toppings on a pizza and it has is an area of 500 square miles in the north west of England. Most of the trees we planted were fruit trees and we were told that as residents we can go back in the Autumn and pick the fruit!
