Year 6S 2018 - 2019

Miss Sharrock

Hello everyone!

Thankyou for your attendance at parents evening, it is much appreciated.  I hope that you all feel well informed about how you child has settled in to year 6.  Many of you asked for a suggested reading list, so here is a link to one I have found which is updated monthly.

I hope you find this useful.

Year 6 and the whole school attended a celebration mass at St Thomas' Church yesterday, to recognise the 150th birthday of the Church building.  The children behaved wonderfully, and the mass was a shining example of how lovely and welcoming it is when we all come together as a community.  Thanks to those family members who joined us in the celebration.

We have moved on to our new RE topic, 'Vocation and Commitment'.  We are thinking about how people dedicate their lives for the service of others.  The children have repsonded well by showing an understanding of the roles, in both our school and wider community, which people play in keeping our world happy and safe,  whilst all the time spreading the Word of God.

As always, I am on the yard at home times if you ever need to catch me,

Miss Sharrocksmiley
