Mrs McAnespy

June 1st 2020

Hope you are all well and staying safe. The Year 5 and 6 team continue to post homework activities but if you would like some work for a specific area of the curriculum, please let us know. Do look back through the work posted - you might find something you didn't try that you could not have a go at!

Week beginning 4/5/20 Revision activities!

Week Beg. 27th April

Dear Year 5 & 6 Pupils and families,

I hope you are well. We have added a range of activities for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils which I hope you have managed to access and complete. Let us know if you would like further work or assistance on a particular aspect.

Best Wishes

Mrs C McAnespy

I have added a little project linking art and literacy in a fun and engaging way, making the most of our current situations. The initial slides encourage you to look at and engage with the work of other artists. I have added a few of these so you can repeat the exercise and develop your 'looking' skills! Included in the following slides are opportunities to respond to the 'views' - describe what you see in poetry and prose, using a range of language  and technique.

I have set you a challenge to repeat this exercise with the view from your own window! Respond to what you see with the set of questions; create a poem or piece of descriptive writing; create a piece or art!

I'm hoping we can post your work on the school website!

If you would like to share your work with us, do email it to the school email address!

Be creative and enjoy!

We hope you are coping well during these difficult times! You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.

We have included a range of home activites which will, hopefully, engage your interest and maintain your level of knowledge and understanding! Please do try to maintain a school work routine, covering as many areas of the curriculum as possible!

Below are links to some useful websites. The first link is very useful for helping you to complete the Maths main activities each day and is great for your parents to work through with you.
