Family Maths Learning sessions including our play dough receipe

Date: 15th Jan 2017 @ 4:47pm

We enjoyed welcoming lots of parents to our family learing session on Friday 13th and all had a great time playing and learning with the children. Thanks for coming!

After our family learning session on Friday 13th lots of parents asked how we make our play dough. Here is the recipe so you can make it at home. It's really easy and requires no cooking.

2 cups of flour

1/2 cup salt

2 tablespoons cream of tartar

3 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sunflower)

food colouring of your choice

1 1/2 cups boiling water.

Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Add the oil and food coloring.

Pour in the boiling water and mix- the mixture may seem a little sloppy to begin with but should begin to resemble dough after a minute or so.

When the mixture looks like dough turn it out and knead it for about 3 minutes until it is smooth.

Your play dough is ready to use.

Keep your play dough in an air tight tub in the fridge.
